Smoke and Hope

This game is an early prototype that we will develop throughout the year.  Making a working alpha is the objective of this project which can hopefully bloom into a full game in the future.  This can only be possible with your support!

Smoke & Hope (early title) is a visual rythmic novel game (VRN for short) that takes place in New York during the great depression. You will be the main star of the show: you will create your own character that will be capable of influencing the world around you.  This is done by using a branching narrative model in which one decision leads to many outcomes.  All branches conect with each other and the choices you make will define the ties with the characters you meet and the path you walk, your decisions are never only right or wrong.  Even the choices you make in the character creator influence this aspect!

The rhythm part of our game will be in complete synergy with the visual novel part by using a performance system: how well you do in these segments will influence your playthrough.  We will introduce our own take on the rhythm genre (gameplay wise) and you will also be able to understand most of the people in the world through the stories we hope to include within the songs.  You could even keep a lookout for some secret songs ;)
